This is my analysed Front cover, i gave a brief description of each, and each concept and how it all relates to appealing to the target audience.

Preliminary

This is my preliminary task, for this i had to create a magazine for young school children, to do this i had to make it appeal and for them to be able to relate to it. i did this by building up the front page with things such as a masthead, plugs, advertisements, lots of sell lines and a main image that relates to my age group.
On my magazine i created a large bold masthead making it easy for the reader to spot and to see what it is, i made the main image a problem that my 12-14 year old audience could be facing which is bullying therefore making them want to read my magazine, i also took my picture from a high up angle making the person look smaller, and more vunerable making school seem a lot bigger which is also another problem they could be encountering.. The price of the magazine is only 20p, which is cheap and reasonable for a school magazine and would be easily affordable for my target audience.
I then created a contents so they could see what's what on each page, and so they can skip straight through to what they want, e.g bullying page. they page also features many pictures yet again portraying whats inside. I then used other types of media for example i used a competition, thus persuading the audience to buy my magazine and making it a bit more fun than a standard magazine. The masthead on my page is also bold similairly to my front cover, it consists of the same house colours as my front cover making it feel the same magazine the whole way through. Lastly i put "join clubs" almost advertising certain aspects of the school, hopefully getting more kids active.
