Mise En Scene
My main Image has a twist and is different to any other images featured on my magazine as this picture is edited and been worked on for a long time, on this image i have edited his face to give a graffiti like face paint, that almost look like tears, i edited to look like this because my magazine theme is very vintage and retero and features alot of graffiti, therefore on his face this captures a very appealing and eyecatching image that people can see very clearly from far away. This image also represents an audience and age and genre for my magazine.
Another image used on my front cover represents my genre even better as it concludes of young artists dressed to the style of my magazines genre being indie, also the graffiti background gives the image an urban city feel to it, that makes the image feel very appealing and gives the magazine a proffesional feel to it. Also the black and white image gives the magazine an authentic feel, the low contatrast and bright white appeals to the audience and gives them a sense of honesty and trust. My range of models in this image all have a different pose some looking at the camera anxd some not representing the attitude of the younger audience and how a rebel sort of status is being given away by this magazine, yet again portraying my intended audience of 16+.
This is the completed version of my magazine however i will be editing it over time from feedback and things that i should change to help me to get a better mark. As you can see my house colours are red, white and black these colours match my genre, the red connotating power and how my magazine is better than any other magazine on the shelf, the white connotating trust and honesty and how the audience can trust my magazine to give them everything they expect from this type of magazine. These colours mixed with the high contrast black and white background creates a very appealing image on my front cover that many people would notice when they pick the magazine up. My magazine features typical conventions such as all of the appearances a normal magazine on the shelf would feature such as a masthead, sell lines, bar codes, prices, issue numbers and many other conventions that i feel help make this a very successful magazine.
This is my final contents page however a few changes are still to be made as i have recieved feedback and want to make it as good as possible. To make this as proffesional looking as possible i have also used all the codes and conventions of a contents page, i have used the main selling ideas and competitions as such on my contents page to really make the audience want to read my magazine as its very original and appeals to a wide audience. When creating this contents i made sure i followed my key colours and house theme to make sure every page of my magazine feels the same and doesnt look like a different magazine. I have highlighted important info and the most exciting pages on the contents column so the audience an easily flick through my magazine without any hassle.
This is my final article draft but yet again needs editing according to my feedback as i have yet to gain feedback. I have also followed star models to yet again produce a productive professional double page spread.
